A 'linear foot' is the same thing as a 'foot'. Sometimes we use the phrase 'linear foot' to make it clear we are not talking about square feet or cubic feet ...12inches=1foot

Multiply by 12 (there are 12 inches in 1 foot)

multiply it by 12 as 12 linear inches make 1 linear foot

12 linear inches =1 linear foot.

linear is just a stright line.
not to be confused with square feet.

a linear foot can be broken down into inches, but i am not sure about a inier foot. that might be something different.
