I agree with it totally - we need to know who these people are to protect our children.

All convicted paedophiles need to have their names, faces, habits, ages, and anything else that might help identify them made public knowledge.
There should be a website on which their photos are posted, they are named and all the other ingformation is given about, them, including their offences, the areas they live or operate in and any other information.
Failing that they should have "paedophile" tattooed on their foreheads.
Screw their human rights. The safety of this country's kids is WAY more important. My mother in law was nearly murdered by a vicious and violent paedophile when she was a 9 year old girl (in 1972). The bastard was not caught until a few years ago, after nearly 40 years of abusing (and murdering) kids. This sort of thing needs to be STOPPED and if naming and shaming these monsters is the only way to do it then so be it.
I sure as hell would want to know if some sicko was living near to me as I would want to be able to protect my child.
My mum lives on a Housing Association estate and the Association recently rented a house to three men who had been released from prison for child sex offences! The estate is FULL of kids!
Nobody on the estate knew these mens' histories and the kids were running around, playing outside their house blissfully unaware. It could have been a tragedy. Luckily someone found out and there was such an outcry from the residents that the men were evicted and rehoused elsewhere.
If we can't trust the authorities to keep our kids safe then we need the information to do it ourselves.

The law should punish paedophiles properly. The answers to this question frighten me, let alone any paedophile, and they seem to be fairly typical responses. In view of them, I'm not one bit surprised that 5 have elected to go missing over the past several years. Given that the law does imprison them, and eventually releases them, they have to live somewhere. That some will live nearby is almost inevitable. If they believe they're going to be identified within their new community, and allowing that they know how they are likely to be treated, can you be surprised that some go missing? It is obvious, from the fact that there are only 5 reported on that site, that, under the current system, the vast majority comply with the conditions of their release, report to the police, sign the sex offender's register etc. Some will re-offend, but driving them into disappearing is hardly likely to make things safer for children, rather the reverse I would have thought

I've taken a look at the website and it does not go far enough. There are more paedophiles on the street than in prison, of the 6% of reported sex crimes only 4% get convicted. Throw a stick out of the window and you're sure to hit one of them.
No question about it our children need protection from these people.
I would rather know of a paedophile living in my street and keep an eye on him than an unknown stranger,
I worked with sex offenders for four years and couldn't stomach any more.

They should put all paedophiles on it and not just 1 or 2 of them. We need to know who they are so as to protect our families. If these paedophiles suffer as a result then so be it, as they did not think of the suffering of their little victims whilst they were carrying out these crimes.

my views on naming missing paedophiles?.... . . . what,s taken the government so long, these animal,s should not be protected any longer. our children are the ones who need protecting, so as a parent / guardian we should be informed and up-dated on a regular basis. i know myself, and i know i can speak for everybody that i know, we need some think like "Sarah,s law" why should,NT we be aware of paedophiles roaming freely on our doorsteps , so yes i think it is a great website , only down side to the site is "more missing paedophiles" on site.

i think we as parents have the right to know that a paedophile has or is moving into our neighbourhood. the police say that they keep an eye on them but we know they dont, otherwise how could they reoffend.or go missing, and they always doo.
there should be a taskforce comitted to them like there is for other specific crimes.

i looked at the site it's not very well designed the fact they have a photo is good but I'd be happier if next to the photo was where they were known to be or likely to haunt for potential victims than their name then it would be faster to spot someone that was a local issue than just a potential problem nationally

The more information one can generate on these disgusting inviduals the better. These people take the innocence away from our most vunerable...our precious little ones...do whatever it takes to make them known...they deserve no peace or right to any privacy in my opinion.

i agree with this website as it will help to protect our children from these sick evil ba****ds i dont know why they have to be released into the community why cant they be locked up for life and instead of using animals for testing products for humans they could use these kind of offenders after all it is testing for human products.
