You need to take into account the depth as well as the lenght of the sides. Many are labeled with quart capacity on the bottom. If you need a specialty size try Bed Bath and Beyond or a kitchen specialty shop. Many of your average sizes are available at Walmart. I am familiar with 10x13 but not 12x8 if it is listed in a current recipe it is probably a fairly standard size.

Pyrex and Corning makes lots of baking dishes, I got this size at the Smiths food market but any of them should be available at Walmart too. Quart content will depend on the depth of the one you buy. Once you get it home you can test it & often the quart capacity is marked on the label

I never tried measuring by quarts for my caserole dishes. But you should be able to find them in department stores, especially the larger ones. Or you could check the Chef's Club or the Pamperred Chef- a couple of very good cookware manufacturers.

Here in the States, our measurements are a bit different than that.....you'll usually find a square in 8X8 or 9X9, and the other size you mentioned is usually an 11X7 or 9X13..........you'll find them in the Pyrex section of any Target (or the like, where they sell kitchen goods) Hope that helps...........I know that Corning Ware (Google it) makes some different size casserole dishes, as my mother gave some of them like 4 yrs ago.......Good luck!!
