You are looking to the wrong ones to convince you of Jesus. No man can convince you. 1st Corinthians 12:3 says that no man can call Jesus Lord except by the Holy Ghost. All we are suppose to do is tell you that God sent his only begotten son that You Dr. A should not perish but have ever lasting life, and life more abundantly. He did not send his son to condemn the world, but that through him the world might be saved.
John 3:16,17; Proverbs 3:5 tells us to trust in the Lord God with our whole heart, and lean not on our own understanding. In our mi-nute minds even though we think we can with out the Spirit of the Lord working in and revealing his words to us we can in no way understand the mysteries of My God. But he does say by his spirit he will make all mysteries known to us. You see Dr. A it is not our job as Christians to convince, Our job is to just let you know that there is a man, a friend out there that willingly said take my life, in return for Dr. A's. Let him live and know that I Loved him so much that I will gladly crawl upon this cross made by man, So that there will be a way for Him Dr. A. to be forgiven for any thing he ever said or done.
Jesus also says I stand at the heart of all men and knock, if any man hear my voice, I will come into him and draw him unto me.
In and of ourselves Dr A. we as christians have no power to wave our wands and change things. It is up to each person to open the door of their heart and to hear the word of God and recieve it and be saved. While logic seems to be your concern. Would it not be more logical to hear a God who says IF you recieve me, I will recieve you and every wrong thing you ever think you have done will be cast into the sea as far as the west is from the east and never looked upon again. But forgiven.
In a world always looking for new beginings it looks like to me it would be more logical to believe in a God who offer's them, a way out of hurts and dispears, oppression and depression then to continue to live in them.
Logically and rationally Dr A. you have to believe. But it is not our job to convince, thats up to God he says he will call who he calls. Meaning if you ain't going to call on him. He's not going to call on you.
So Dr.A. if its logic and rationally you want you will have to discuss that with the Man God himself.
Good Luck..

To someone who does not want to believe something, there will never be a convincing or rational arguement. There is no rational argument you could ever give that would convince me to stop believing in God. And must likely none i could give that would convince you.
But if you are honestly seeking, I can direct you to where you can find the answers. Since there is no resitricts on who can decide to call themsleves a Christian and what they can believe while do it, of course you are going to get answers from all over the spectrum. I see that in every area of knowledge, not yet religion. Check out the Computer and Internet section sometime (my other home away from home) and you will see just as much variety and guesswork in the answers there.
So why not go to the source instead. You will find it in the 66 books collected together in the library known as the Bible. Contained within it are answers to any (reasonable) question you could have about God and relating to him. It will do it far better than any of us can in trying to interprete or explain it, as we do not always get it right.
If you had a specific question, I would have been glad to answer it...

One thing to understand is that sometimes people don't know enough about their religion. While religion is partly the people, the doctorine will vary from place to place. There are places that have a really large popuation and they tend to be very put upon to know answers.
The truth of the matter is, is that you're not going to change your ways unless you want to. Forget the holy ghost opening your heart, forget other things. The only way you're going to start believing someone is if you want to. No one will "show you their wisdom and make you want to serve Jesus" you have to choose to. Which is probably for the best.

Aha! This is a trick question! We can't make you do anything. Nobody can make you believe but yourself. You have to search for the answers on your own. A personal walk with Jesus is just that, it is personal. It is different for everybody. I would really strongly suggest you pray to God to reveal himslef and pick up the bible and start reading starting at Matthew. But you must pray first. Continue that until you are finished the New Testament. Do the same with the Old Testament. Then maybe after all that praying and reading, you will have the answer you are searching for. Peace and Love be with you.

Do what I did, Doc.
Read the Fathers of the Christian Faith. Classic works: Read St. Augustine's "Confessions", "De Trinitatas", "City of God" - St. Thomas Aquinas' "Summa Theologica" - if you prefer the more Mystical stuff....try the "Cloud of Unknowing" - St. John of the Cross, St. Juliana of Norwich....the Capadocian Fathers, St. Basil and the Gregories - take some introductory classes at a Jesuit university and challenge the Priests and professors...they love that kind of thing...
Prepare your arguments well - present them honestly and without rancor....talk to learned Christians at major universities and debate them. Honestly and without anger. You'd be surprised how interesting it can be.
Open an honest dialog with an Orthodox or Catholic clergyman. Ask questions, honest ones, from the heart.
I did - and I learned that I certainly don't know it all - but it's sure fun trying!!
What are you doing next Wednesday....say....after 7:00?
;-)

i can't make you want to serve Jesus. in fact it has nothing to do with any wisdom i may have or not. this is truly a matter between you and God alone. it is really up to you what you choose to believe. it is not for me to press my faith on you. there are many things biblically unexplainable by man. it truly is faith. God doesn't say come to Me because people have proven I exist. He doesn't expect us to have all the answers or have great wisdom. We just need to acknowledge that we are not good enough. we all make mistakes, have sin issues and can not redeem ourselves. it is not about what humans can do. it is what God has done on the cross by sending Jesus to be our redeemer. Some choose to believe, some do not. not about wisdom or knowledge.

Everone knows how to come to God by Jesus..for the one who dont this is how..Start in prayer, If you believe in your heart that Jesus died on the cross for you and all of your sins,,you repent of them all (sins) ask Jesus to come into your heart and tell Jesus that you want to do the will of our God..easy..you are saved, you may not feel like nothing has changed at first but open up the bible pray again ask Jesus to reveal things to you...watch,listen and learn..the word which is the bible..God knows your heart and He knows if you mean it,,you will be a new person..The clay will be removed from your eyes and the things you seen before as ok,wont be anymore..the enemy(devil) which dont want you to come to Jesus will try to stop you many ways but know he was defeated at the cross !!! God Bless..

Don't bother changing your ways. Its obvious you now have the intelligence, logic and knowledge to know its all lies. Surely, you don't want to lose all that and become a follower of a cult - without being able to think for yourself.

If your really searching for logical answers, your looking in the wrong place. Christianity is not illogical. I have answers, but sometimes its hard to post them here, people dont read them, they dont like answers that are too long, and some answers need more explanation than what fits on a postcard. Any logical, truth seeking question can be answered logically and rationally. Maybe your asking the wrong question.

The only one that can draw you to God is truly God, the Holy Spirit,,,,we can only point you to the truth...but if for one second you are sincere and not just wanting to poke fun and so desperately want to find fault with believers in Christ, you'll have your moment...when you will know without a shadow of a doubt, that it is God speaking to your heart...he knows you better than you know yourself....
