No, that won't damage your hair. The only way a hot shower would damage your hair is if the water was also hot enough to burn your skin, and I'm sure hoping you aren't going to turn it up that high.

I dont think it harms your hair in general, however it is not good to use hot water when washing coloured hair - hot water opens up the hair shaft and therefore allows colour to escape causing faster fading. Its recommended to use luke warm water on coloured hair, although using cold water is better as it closes the hair shaft allowing colour to stay in for longer and as shaft is closed the hair looks smoother and gives a better shine.
I think whoever said not to use a hot shower daily on your hair was half right as it can be bad for dyed hair.

it relatively is undesirable, relies upon on the hair variety. in case you have healthful hair that has never been chemically processed, washing universal isn't that undesirable. particularly while you're actually not blow drying and utilising different warmth aspects on a daily basis. in case you have chemically taken care of hair and use warmth on your hair on a daily basis, washing universal would be undesirable. It strips the hair of its organic oils. additionally in case you will desire to blow dry when you wash, you're blow drying too many times, so in case you don;t wash your hair you will no longer would desire to blow dry the two. the 1st time you are trying no longer washing your for an afternoon or 2, it may look rather oily, yet your hair will ultimately get used to it. If it does look oily, there are hair powders you ought to use to soak up the countless oils, or you ought to use infant powder, only use it sparingly.

I don't know about the water temperature, but I don know that you shouldn't wash it every day.

Your scalp secretes oils that moisturizes your hair, if you wash it every day you're messing up this natural process.
