OK, if you want to believe that you are actually intelligent, I'll pretend that you are too.

I think the question you might be asking here can summarized as "is the Christian religious terminology based on any kind of evidence or truth?". I think you're asking in the form of logic that defines the either/or consequence to a believer. Should there be no prooven truth or evidence from your questioning of the reason behind the beliefs of many, that may automatically conclude that there is No God, the bible is fake and Jesus was a liar and that perhaps the many misled people and going to face an unfortunate doom that they themselves have been preaching.
Many religions and cultures throughout history have many dieties and may have some sacred scripture. The best summary I can conclude in my study of scirptures of various religions is that most have given information to us on recommendations to elevate our ways of thinking. I believe there is evidence in the scriptures contained in the bible that also give the same information and that same information is shared through Jesus. For a moment, lets consider all teachings from all positive and life affirming religions equal. Would Jesus, Mohammed, Krishna, or Buddha decide to get in a cage and throw knuckles in some kind of deathmatch to proove that they are better? It would be nice for us humans at a lower level of thinking to see such an event - at some point in my past life, I would pay money to see this. But honestly, their thinking and their teachings do not preach a logic that would condone such behavior. Neither any of them would (nor evidently have) say that let's pretend to be good and pretend to be an example and pretend to live out our lives for a sake or cause that is superficial so we can have generations after us create a money making scheme and control and dominate world power and special interest groups.
So for a moment, let the bible spiritually guide you and others. Let it open your mind to be acceptive of other scriptures, for hasn't it worked for others too? Can you be open and acceptive to other forms of worship to a God without judging or reasoning harshly against your neighbor? If so, perhaps you and others might just elevate your thinking high enough to understand it is all real.

Pretent all you want to, it means nothing. How good are you? Can you pass the Good Test?
Have you ever told a lie? Doesn't matter how big or small?
What does that make you?
Have you ever stolen anything? Cost doesn't matter. What does that make you?
Jesus taught that if you look upon someone with lust tha you have committed adultery in your heart. Have you ever lusted?
Jesus also taught that if you hate anyone that you are guilty of murder. Have you ever hated anyone?
What does this make you? Don't matter if your believe it or not, one day you will stand before a Holy God, how will you be judged? Will you be found guilty? A price will have to be paid can you pay it? Yes it is that real.
When you see a building do you deny its builder? You didn't see it being built, you didn't see the plans that they used. You didn't see the material that were used, so do you deny the builder? Yet you see all of creation, you didn't see it built, you didn't see the plans, you didn't see the materials and you deny the creator. It is that simple Building, Builder, Creation, Creator.
Don't matter if you choose to believe or not. That doesn't make any of it less real, or true. So choose but with each choice there is an answering that each of us will pay. The quetions is, is the risk of it all worth it? If it is then fine stand by your beliefs.
I have made my choice and I am standing by them.

Are you claiming to say God isn't real? What's your proof?
This is not a idea based on the logic of human beings!
God is true and Everlasting. He was the First and He is the Last.
Those who claim nonexistence of God have no sense of claim.
Open up your mind, look around and tell what do you see that is not from God (Allah)?
Don't you see the night changing into the day and vice versa?
Don't you see clouds and the sky?
Don't you see stars, mountains, moon and the sun?
They are all signs for those who believe! Those who seek to find the truth!

We're not pretending. No amount of sophistry or rationalization can change the reality of the fact that there is a spiritual side to life. There is life after death and there will be an eternal accounting. The sooner you realize that the intelligence that you call you, is a product of the spirit that is in you and not the cellular organism that composes your corporal mass, the sooner you will begin to come to grips with your spiritual father, God.

Similar to the Santa Claus concept - an all-knowing being who can perform superhuman feats...
Well some people really do believe in god. I do not understand why they do, but that doesn't change the fact that they do.
Not everyone can understand why I believe certain things either though...thats why I like talking to people about different beliefs because that way maybe one or both of us will learn something. Ridiculing people really doesnt help, whether you are an atheist ridiculing the christians or vice versa.

I'm not quite sure I understand what you're saying, but what I think you are is "Are you pretending that evolution is not true?" No, I am not pretending. I seriously believe that Jesus is real, he died for my sins, and he rose again to his father in heaven. Does that answer your question?

Pretend that where your treasure is, there is your heart also. Give everything you own to God, including your pride, and watch God transform your life into a miraculous blessing to others filled with joy.
