Good grief no...eating ice is like drinking water(which is necessary in loosing weight) plus your body burns calories to heat it up. Now what ice does do is BREAK your teeth. "Ice eating is a dentist's best friend!"(so my dentist told me this week)

If you eat ice constantly (or want to) it may also be a sign of pica which is can be an indication of iron deficiency anemia...just so you know.

No its just water. But If you are looking to loose weight, you have to keep the metabolism burning. Which means you have to eat at least 3 meals a day. But, what really helped me lose weight was this. 2 teaspoons of Apple Cider vinegar in a glass of water 20-30 minutes before each meal. Yes, your right, it doesn't taste that good. But it works. I lost 50 pounds and 10 inches off the waist line between 1999 and 2005. All without major dietary changes or alot of exercise. It's slow, but that's safe. Since I started lifting weights a year and a half ago I've dropped another 5-8 pounds and 2 inches off the waist Apparently according to this Dr. there are thermogenic compounds in the vinegar that speed up your metabolism and it also gives you a full feeling sooner. You can use generic apple cider vinegar, it doesn't have to be organic. Just make sure you don't buy the apple flavored stuff. But if your still growing and your body is still changing and adapting you don't want to mess with it too much. Just by adopting a healthier lifestyle now, will prevent a whole bunch of problems down the road.

How would that possibly be? No it doesn't. I had such a craving for eating ice and Crystal Light frozen icees (my own recipe!) during the last few weeks of my pregnancy and the first week after my daughter was born and I was hoping the craving would last. It didn't. So now I eat high calorie snacks instead. (sniff, sniff, whimper, frown)

No, eating ice will not make you gain weight...but just so you know...a craving to chew ice is a signal of anemia, meaning you are lacking iron in your diet.

No. A girl who lives in my area actually lost ALOT of weight from sticking to a ''ice'' diet. Ofcourse she ate other things (rarley) but when she would get hungry most of the time, she would just chew on ice.

No, and yes. eating ice cream does not always help mend a broken heart. But just about anything sweet, or that brings back generally good memories from your childhood is a good thing for your broken heart.

You should eat more than that... If ya stop eating all together your metabolism will decrease cuz your digestive system has nothing to work with... But no it won't make you gain weight, it'll just make yer mouth numb.
