Generally speaking, you'll need a little over 1 lb. per person.

a 12-lb turkey geenrally serves 10, for example.

there are some thing to consider here - are you going to have people help themselves from platters or have someone serve? If you let people serve themselves, you have less control over portion size.

In my opinion, it's FAR better to have someone serving, so that the portions can be monitored, for that many people.

Standard would be 2 servings per pound (of acual meat) because of all the side dishes . . . so 75 lbs (but remember, turkeys have bones and the leg portions are not to easy to divide) Hens have more breast meat and the toms have larger legs.
150 people ! I pray you have lots of staff to assist you !

3/4 to 1 pound of turkey per person. If I were you, I'd use boneless turkey rolls. Easy to just slice, saves paying per pound waste you can't eat.

I have found that 2 pounds of bird serves one person. A twenty pound bird will serve ten and so forth. So probably about 30 large birds. You might want to consider ham.

Don't worry, you will have enough. With 150 people, there has to be at least 5-10 turkeys among them.

Whew! I don't know who all these people answering are feeding, but they must be big eaters! Standard catering principles dictate 4oz of meat for women and 6oz for men.....with at least 3 sides, salad and dessert. Any more than that and you'll have tons of leftovers!! FYI: those proportions also apply to the sides, etc.

Good Luck! You must have a huge family!!
