My daughter is 10 years old... she came home from work the other day and told me that her boss was touching her inappropriately... she says that he grabs at her chest and her bum, and she has to tell him to stop every day.
how can i explain to her that she shouldnt be lying about things like this? she could lose her job over it.

I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt here and ASSUME that you MEANT to hit the 9 instead of the 0 on your number row.
Now if your daughter is 19 and she's being sexually harrassed by her boss at work, she needs to tell the higher-ups at wherever it is she works. Why wouldn't you believe her?
And if your daughter really is 10, you should believe her anyway.

Report it to the authorities. Either way you are protecting your daughter. Whether she is 10 or 19, you are her mother and you must always protect her. If she is lying then she will be punished for false accusations, by law enforcement - either way the problem will be solved.
If your daughter is 10 and working then that is a whole other issue. He is a pedophile and will be prosecuted and I think you will be punished because you are allowing child labor laws to be broken.

As a mother of 3, If that was my 10 year old she would not be working!!! and as well I would take he back to the boss to confront him beat the hell out of him and then ask questions. It's crazy but I think you are the one that the boss is harassing and are ashamed to say so I would look for another job and when you find it tell that sorry s.o.b. where to fly and don't be ashamed to stand up for yourself if you don't like it don't take it.do
And if you are lying to make people feel sorry for you please for your sake and ours grow up, but if you are telling the truth good luck to you and yours, but do something before it progresses.

is it a fast food? What if she's telling you the truth and the SOB is coaxing her to not speak? It happenned to me too. I ended up giving in because no one would believe me. Everybody thought I was lying. He got caught when he harrassed another girl. Then my version had weight. But it was too late. I gave up and gave in. So they fired him and had to fire me as well. You shouldn't label your daughter as a liar. What if she's afraid of losing her job? What if he has the power of convincing to the point that she'll be put to shame if she speaks? Think of it before condemning her. You could lament it later. I never told anyone of my family fearing they could think I was provoking the guy.

excuse me? is this a sick joke? ten year olds dont have jobs they have school. tell her lying is wrong, lay down the law, take her toys away if she doesnt stop and keep her toys until she stops lying. have a long,hard discussion about lying.

but besides that, how do you know she is lying? if her boss says he doesnt, it doesnt mean that he isnt lying. and i think she is a bit immature, thats why she lies like that, a bit too young to work.
