I don't base my opinion on a person on their religion, I base it on the merits of the individual. I would start out feeling the same about each, regardless of their religious preferences, and forming an opinion on what type of a person they are.

Edit: Being a non christian does not mean the person does not have a moral character for crying out loud. It means they live by their own moral code of conduct instead of only doing good deeds and avoiding doing bad because they fear some eternal damnation from an invisible entity. If you want to get to the base of it, I'd have a lot more respect for the person who avoids doing bad things because they don't enjoy doing it and it makes them feel badly ... than the person who avoids doing bad things only because they fear god and hell. If the only thing keeping some of these people from doing harm is religion, can you imagine what they'd be like without it?

This is actually an interesting question. It touches on prejudice, prejudging people and groups of people based on superficial associations. In this case, we're being asked to prejudge the Christians as a safer group than the general population.

To be honest, when I think about each group in depth, I have to say, that I don't feel automatically safe with either group. Initially, though, I did tend to think the born-agains would be the safer group. After consideration, though, I decided there were as many, or more, nutcases in the born-again group as in the general population.

Bottom line, I would prefer to know my roommates before becoming roommates.

Based on personal experience in two apartments of roomates, I had better experience with the Christian roommates.

The non-Christian roommates would go into my bedroom and had very little consideration for my privacy. The Christian roommates who I barely knew looked out for all of us. We shared communally the food in the kitchen and shared laundry and housekeeping duties (yes we did each other's laundry once ever three weeks).

So, I think it's more of a personality thing rather than whether they are Christian or not.

well, if i were Christian i'd likely feel more comfortable living with someone who shares my beliefs despite the fact that shared beliefs doesn't necessarily mean shared ethics.
GW Bush is proof of that.

a Christian used car salesman is still a used car salesman and that little fish symbol on the bumper of the car he sells you is no guarantee that you ain't driving away in a lemon.

The word "Christian" is used a lot, it has different meanings depending on who is using the term. If you mean devote Christians, I would still have to talk with them long enough to know their spirit. I would choose Christians I don't know because if anything goes wrong, I can have our Father handle them.

I'd rather live with someone I know- whether Christian, Hindu, Atheist, or otherwise- than with someone I didn't.

No. Don't be retarded. The bible is just political conspiracy written in religion to keep the world in revision.

I would if they were baptised Jehovah's Witnesses, no problem.
They live their lives to serve God and please him so they would not do anything dishonest or threatening to me.
