I am poor. I am below poverty level, which is not very pleasant. Do I feel poor? No. I have 3 children, 6 grandchildren, and the internet, and a car,and music. My soul is happy. Money doesn't really mean much. All the important things in life don't have anything to do with money...so I guess I was wrong. I am very rich.

Yes. Feeling poor is paying all your bills and having nothing left to play with. Being poor is not being able to pay the bills.

How others treat you.
My dad lost his job while I was growing up and it took him several years to find another one because he was overly qualified for all the positions he applied for. I never felt like we were poor, even though we were, until my junior year in high school when a boy in my church asked me if my mom had gotten her check from the welfare office yet. My dad had found a job while I was still in junior high, but that statement has stuck with me to this day.

yes, I am broke but far from poor. I have a home and car and food but not much can not py all my bills right now but I am not poor.

The Christians in Smyrna may have felt poor from their monetary poverty but Jesus proclaimed that they were rich because their treasure was in Christ!

The difference is this...not necessarily always getting what you want, it is more appreciating what you have.
