First, oven roast your Brussels Sprouts.....they get all brown and carmelized then make a reduction of balsamic vinegar and sugar and top that off with some crispy crumbled bacon and some crumbled blue cheese..........I made them that way last year and the pickiest eaters even asked me for the recipe.......Unfortunately, I had a few cocktails while I was making the dish (potluck T'giving) and I don't quite remember the proportions, but the outcome was delicious........

Toss Brussell Sprouts with olive oil, salt and pepper and broil. When they turn golden remove and shave fresh romano reggiano over them and pop back in the brolier for just a minute just to warm not to melt...also good with blue cheese.

I find that a sauce for bussel sprouts is a bit too much... generally, I like to let them speak for themselves, and just add a little butter, salt, pepper, and maybe some walnuts that are roughly chopped...

I have them served with melted maple and butter drizzled over them and I've also had them with lemon butter. Both delicious.
