In the dating scene the military community is just like any other, Not all lawyer, doctors, police and firemen have way attractive wives, but they are married to the woman who they feel is perfect for them and are in love with and in their eyes, probably very attractive. It takes a strong, loving, and supportive woman to be a military wife, takes a lot of heart, and that is more important than looks, a lot of the time.

It's because everyone has there own idea or image of what beuty is to them. Over weight doesn't = unatractive. My brother in law is army ranger and the ger he's messing with has a nice bod but looks like a horse in the face.

I spent quite a few years in the service, and have never felt that the girls dating service men were either fatter than the general population or less attractive.
Some people have selective eyesight. They see only what they want to see.

Because the men weren't all that before the military. They were probably just as ugly as the girl was when they got together. After a few years of being together, she starts to lose her shape from eating too much, which in turn puts a strain on his wallet. Out of necessity he joins the army and gets all lean and buff, while she stays at home not having anyone to look good for, so she just keeps getting uglier. The men, on the other hand, are hooking up with hotties left and right while they're away.

your talking about the dreggs of womandom that hang around the bars near a military base. they are SURE things and will rarely turn down a man in uniform!
he doesn't care because he will be gone in a couple months anyway, so he is just getting some stress relief from these SURE things.

just fyi my brother-in-law is a "military men" and my sister is so gorgeous!! and is really in shape! i mean she manages a gym and has a bachelor in sports managment!! And of course she is so sweet! and im not just saying this because shes my sister

its bc they r real men and dont care what the girl looks like. its not always about looks. if he knows that shes going to support him and always be there for him while he's gone then thats the kind of girl they want. they dont want some hoe.
