I'm dating a really great guy and he seems to like me and everything and things are going well. But...I have my ex bf's name tattooed on me (I know, I was young and a complete idiot). It's small and he wont be able to see it unless I'm, well, you know. Question is, do I need to tell him about this? There's a chance he might see it before I'm able to get it removed. By the way, my ex has the same name as him, if that makes a difference.

I was actually engaged and planning a wedding with the guy who's name is on me...I know it was still a stupid move though. Just thought I'd add that in before I started getting your comments.

I would play the honesty card. Let him know. Suprises are only fun when they are good things. Your past is your own mistakes and all. He's has a past too. If he's really good for you he would understand.

If you are really planning on having it removed, tell your boyfriend. He has no right to be upset about it, after all you did it before you knew him so what's the problem? I won't tell you what you already know, (young,idiot,stupid) We all do things we regret when we get older and look back. Hey, it was a mistake, get rid of it and then it won't bother you anymore. You definitely need to tell him. I'm sure you've mentioned at some point that you were in a serious relationship before and just tell him you were young and dumb. Everyone has silly things they did when they were young and in love. I think if you don't tell him and he sees his name on you, he may freak. Or think you're lying and trying to cover up the fact that you have your ex's name on your body.

The best thing is to tell him That you have that tattoo If you dont tell him and he find out then he might get mad at you.

Well, you could go to an artist and have them cover it up and turn it into something else. Short of that, I would just tell him. I wouldn't see it as a big deal.

I would tell him up front about the tattoo and ask him what he thinks if you should keep it since it's his name too.

IT IS VERY PAINFULE TO GET TATTOO REMOVED HAVE YOU THOUGH ABOUT A COVER UP TATTOO ALSO IT MORE THEN ONE OR TWO VIST TO GET ONE REMOVED AND IT IS CHEEP

just tell him you got a tatto with his name on your body, if his name is the same as your ex fellas, he'll be non the wiser, and will be more inclined to stay with you.
