Aside from those chapters, where else are God's laws mentioned in the bible? I heard there are over 600 laws.

Actually there are 613 Laws that we are commanded to keep in order to come into perfection and unity with Yahweh and Yahshua his son, remember "the Laws are perfect converting the whole person. These Laws can be found in the first five books of the Book of Yahweh, from Genesis to Deuteronomy also known also as the Torah.

Leviticus actually means "Law", and leviticus has laws on all sorts of things, from religious ceremonies and temple behaviors to sexual relations and more.

Dueteronomy has a lot of laws in it also.

Some additional info you may find interesting in studying the various laws discussed in the bible: the first 5 books were written by Moses, which I find interesting since it seems that at the time he was the main spokesperson on religious-based law, yet he had to leave his homeland because he was wanted for murder. This gives me a perspective on how many people were exposed to Mosaic law.

Yes there are 600 and then some. You'll find quite a few also in Leviticus. If you have time list all the laws and send me a copy.

there are 613 of them spread all throughout the torah, often repeated more than once. all you have to do is read it. your confusion comes from your assumption that all the laws will be preceded by something indicating that it is a law, i.e. G-d saying "the following are laws for you..."

just assume that anytime G-d says "and you shall" or "and you shall not" in the torah, that what comes next is probably a law.

the 600 are the laws of Moses(the ones that Christ nailed to the cross). but God's 10 Commandments are still in effect or else Jesus would not have to die. If they can just be discarded, why did Christ need to die?

Leviticus has some great stuff on cleanliness....did you know if you are in a room with a woman who is having her monthlies, that makes you unclean and you can't eat holy things until the evening? I like that one. Or how there's, like, 100 rules on who can enter the temple. Leviticus is a riot.
