Check out a place called The Money Shop - I have a pre-paid Mastercard from them.

All you have to give them is 2 forms of ID and there's no credit check. You initially pay £9.99 for the card and it takes 5-7 working days to get to you. You then have the option of paying £4.95 per month to use it as many times as you want or, if you'll only be an occasional user, you pay a £1 per transaction fee.

They do have an option where you can have money paid into the account; once you have the card you can either do it online or go to the shop and fill out the form.

You can top up the card as many times as you want either at The Money Shop or the Post Office.

Hope this helps!

you can get a pre-paid cedit cad, which you could then do online payments to from your bank account.

however, once you go over your credit limit on the card. lets say they give you a 200 pound limit and you have to send them a 200 pound deposit. if you spend 50 and then pay in 100 thinking you will be clever and now have £250 to spend you will come acropper. because you will no longer be covered by the credit cards insurance if something goes wrong with your purchases, because you havent bought it with their credit, but with your own money !!!!!

Well you can apply for a credit card with a limit and then when you get your monthly statement either pay it all off or part of it. I believe this is the common and only way of using a credit card.
