We serve Pinot Noir for the Red and Fume Blanc for the White.
Specific name? Dry Creek Fume Blanc and Frei Brothers Pinot Noir. Sorry I can't remember the years. The Pinot Noir costs about $15 per bottle and the Fume Blanc costs about $11 per bottle.
Hope that helps!

Ok, looked it up, thought I was right, but I was only 1/2 right. This is what I found on the internet and in my wine books--
Depends on how it is cooked:
Type of Turkey-How you are going to cook it.
That is the information you will need. If you don't want Chardonay-thats kind of a bad deal, that is what everyone suggests.
Smoked you could go with Pinot Nior or a Merlot. I'm pretty much an upscale White Zin girl, but if I were you I would serve whatever it is you enjoy when you eat a light meat like Baked Pork Chops or the like.

"Irish Eyes"....good call with the Conundrum. It has a lot goin' on and is not your typical white. It is actually made up of seven different grapes. It's not too dry though, which it sounds like you're trying to stay away from by not wanting a chardonnay. Right now the 2004 vintage is readily available for about $22-$26. If you don't want to spend that much, go for "La Familia" pinot grigio. It goes for about $14 and is very good. The 2004 is the one on the market right now. Enjoy!

My family always served Blue Nun which is a reisling, I believe called liebfraumilch, the German word that I always thought meant "free mother's milk". I don't think that is correct though. If your family prefers zinfandel, Lancer's is a carbonated rose/zinfandel in a pottery jug that might add a festive air to the meal. Both are somewhere between "dry" and "sweet" and not that expensive.

Johannasburg Reisling is very nice, also a Pinot Grigio would go well. Guwerstraminer if you want something sweet.
