Has anyone seen black cabinets? How do you keep fingerprints off of them? Where do you find these?

um you tell your guest to use the handle to close the cabinet as well as to open it you take a paper towel and wipe off no water no soap just plain white paper towel i had gotten mines cutom made years ago at EXPO DESIGNS unaware if you know about them but i guess you can try LOWES and also you can just paint your cabinet black and add a gloss over paint but you must sand the current color off

Black cabinet finishes are not typical. You can check with a local distributor and see if they offer them. I build custom cabinets and have done a few that have a black finish. Not a fun job. You could try buying ready made, unfinished cabinets and painting them black. Several coats of laquer are recommended. But you could do it cheaper and easier if it's just for you and you're not that discriminating. You could either get a black finish stain or use paint. Both will need to have a smooth finish coat to allow for the removal of the fingerprints that do show well on them. You could buy the cabinets and hire a local painter to do the finish work. You'll pay for it though. Well, you've got a little bit of info and alot of research to do if you're seroius about the cabinets. Good luck.

I painted my kitchen cabinets black. I don't have problems with lots of fingerprints, because we use the handles and knobs. And, you can probably order them from any large hardware store like Lowe's or Home Depot.

My best guess would be car or hardwood paste wax, such as Johnson's paste wax.
