If what you're doing works for you and you're not hurting yourself or anyone else(nor plan too) then keep on doing it...Your parents do not need to know your innermost dark thoughts . If your life works and you are maintaining a life that includes food and shelter that you Pay for on your own then what is the problem? No one does a happy dance all day every day or any part of any day...

im not sure i understand in what way/ways your life isnt related to the current world??? your here on the computer, so obviously your not off living by yourself as a hermit with no technology,, perhaps you feel "not normal" because you are distinctly different then your parents and others you have gotten to know? there is nothing at all wrong with being abnormal , not being an adverage person,,,
if you feel a need to talk try a counselor, a psychologist, not a psychratrist (sorry spelling is probably wrong)

First you need to focus on how to cope with others get a self-help book that focuses on communication, "I'm OK-your OK" Second of all you are in good company, most celebrities feel the way you do. And you are in bad company mental patients feel that way too. Find ONE talent and stick to it, science, artistic, musical. you can excel, but always keep your communication skills. It is not your fault you just have to accept it and work with it. stray away from chemicals. It is hard for people to understand that you feel different. most people are not genius but you can be genuine to yourself

I think you just need some attention. Go on a date, get drunk at a party, make out with a girl, find some friends hang out with them. Whatever just get out there and take some chances.
Your not going to find answers here on Yahoo. If you could then what would be the point in Living Life you know. So Go Live it!

Many people follow their own paths when they're old enough to make that choice. You don't provide any real information about what you're doing/how you're living, so its difficult to answer your question.

I think that you should think about seeing a therapist on a regular basis. This really does help. Maybe you should also think about talking to your parents about how your really feeling. They will listen because they love you. Good luck to you.

talk to your parents about how you feel. i assume you live and home still and legally they can tell you what to do, i understand it sucks but maybe you can go stay with a near-by relative for a while so you can get your head straight. good luck!
