You can take like Arbor mist the wine.. and put raspberry's in it!! It's cute fun and alcoholic.... if you wanna get real crazy mix a little bit of Bacardi rum into it too! Mix it all together in a punch bowl!! Yum Yum!

Try mulled wine that is served warm.. Use a "crock pot" or slow cooker, pour a bottle 750ml of spice wine and blend a packet of Mulling spices with the wine. If it is too spicy add Red Zinfidel, no more than 1.5l of wine to a packet of spices Let it simmer for an hour, on low heat. Then it is ready to serve.
Most supermarkets will a spice wine, any wine shop-most definitely ( a cranberry or apple wine will alsogive the same flavor). The mulling spices will be found in the spice aisle of the suppermarket as well. You will also enjoy the scent that is put in the air by the simmering wine.
Have a happy holiday!

My tactic when coming up with an alcoholic party drink is to Google some form of "punch cocktail drink alcohol holiday party" etc. Try to stick to fruity drinks with light liquor (i.e. vodka, gin, light rum) because it is easier on the stomach and the head the next morning. Plus, the darker liquors (whiskey, brandy, tequila, scotch) are powerful and can get the blood boiling a little too hot . . . a bad situation with "dumb redneck men" hanging around.
Have fun!

I am sorry you have so many rednecks in your family.
Why not just go with table wine? A few glasses will take the edge off but shouldn't lead to any crazy redneck behavior, so the farm animals will be safe to enjoy the holiday without fear of being tipped over or worse.

"Dumb redneck men" only drink beer and moonshine. They won't be interested in any fancy recipe drinks. If this is a problem, why not just omit the alcohol altogether. It isn't necessary for a good Thanksgiving dinner.

i would try mimosa.. and it's basically oj and champagne.. the juice takes the edge off. but you can buy it at the liquor store already mixed together and it's a smooth and festive drink to serve.
hot buttered rum is great too.. you just need some rum, cool whip, i think some ice cream, butter, and you freeze it and you just add some hot water to it..
or some spiked egg nog if the store already started putting it out.

A Chardonnay wine is a good idea, a dry white wine with a fruity taste should keep the low-lifes from drinking too much, goes great with turkey and the mixture will keep them mellow.

This is what I came up with on http://www.drinksmixer.com/drink2369.html. You could always adjust your whiskey to cran juice ratio!
Scale ingredients to servings
1 1/2 oz Wild Turkey® bourbon whiskey
1/2 oz Applejack® brandy
1 tsp Rose's® lime juice
4 oz cranberry juice
Fill Collins glass one-half full of ice, add ingredients and stir. Garnish with a lime wedge, if desired.
Serve in:
Collins Glass
Alcohol (ABV): 13% (27 proof)

Mix Coke/Pepsi with Riunite Lambrusko wine, it's called a Spritzer, and if mixed properly it's not easy to detect the wine.
