I think there are a few things going on here. Some of these people, indeed maybe all, deep down are haunted by the idea maybe there IS a God they will be responsible to and are bitter about the whole thing and want to badger us. Some of them want to expose the woeful lack of knowledge many Christians have to defend their faith (which is very logical and sensible and many extremely intelligent people embrace it) We must remember, the cross is an offense to people. Those of the world killed Christ and the world will always hate us. These people will hate our uninformed anwers and they will hate our informed will reasoned answers. They are a waste of time. I believe this is what Jesus referred to when He said not to cast your pearls before swine. Our time is too short. Save time for the true seekers. They are not too hard to find. Also, study to show thyself approved so you can give a good defense for our faith, not just scripture but how it makes sense in our world and state of existence as a whole.

Why ask questions specific to Christians? further, why ask something in case you do no longer purely like the responses you get? each little thing on YA is honest interest. via specifying "Christians purely" you without delay bar (or attempt to bar) any opinion or thought that would not jive with your individual. Does this make you open or closed minded? I answer a lot of questions that are "none of my employer" via your standards, which incorporate Christian questions, by way of fact I actual have an opinion. i do no longer seem at it as shoving disbelief down your throat, by way of fact i understand and characteristic evaluations on the subject of the bible. i do no longer mean to sound rude right here, yet once you prefer all-Christian-purely chat, you're able to pass someplace else. and that i'm indignant via your sweeping generalization that if i'm no longer Christian, then this project is none of my employer. The non secular suited in this united states of america and their insane could inform ME the thank you to stay MY existence make it my employer.

ONE REASON IS THAT THEY ARE SO MANY DIFFERENT RELIGIOUS BELIEFS OUT HERE....
BUT THE SOONER THAT PEOPLE CAN BRING THE LOVE BACK IN TO THEIR HEARTS AND BE CHILD LIKE AGAIN( which means a child forgives so easy, and a child doesnt see that their friend is a different skin color, all they kno is that he or she is their friend and all they care about is being being with other and playing football, or swinging on the mokey bars or what ever they like to do as long as they to it as friends...) So if people could open their eyes, ears, minds and most of all THEIR HEARTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEN THEIR WOULD BE NO MORE OF THESE OR ANY OTHER HATRED ........ SO WHY PUT OTHERS DOWN ... CAUSE THEN YOU ARE THE SAME.....

perhaps nonbelievers ask certain kinds of questions so in answering them the believers might begin to see how narrow, contradictory and illogical their beliefs are. just like believers are always seeking to convince nonbelievers of the truth of their god, nonbelievers might be seeking to engage the intellect of the believers and point out to them the truth of logic and simple common sense.
hope springs eternal.

Just don't answer the non-believer's question if you can't handle the whining and complaining. I've been wrong before, but doesn't this question strike anyone as being whiny and complainy?

I don't know, and I don't particularly care.
It's pointless, imo, to spend my time trying to assign motivations for others' behavior.
My actions and behavior are the only things over which I have any sort of control. So that's where I need to focus my attention.
But if you think this is one-sided, I suggest you read more here.

Well said....If they are non believers why do they keep asking us questions. If you don't want us to answer, don't ask. I'm not interested in asking non believers questions because i could not care less about there answers. Its like they keep making statements and asking what about this and that, like we are going to say " you know what, your right I'm leaving my religion right now. Thank you for putting me straight" Well i know me for one that's never going to happen. If you have no belief in religion or spirituality why are you here? Seems like a case of "me thinks they doth protest too much"

Simply because they don't WANT any answers. Their "question" is posted with the belief that they've managed to conceive the ultimate argument ever. All they're interested in is the airtime.

Reported! Just kidding, only fundies do that sort of thing. I have had 5 removed this week and only one was deserving because it was asking why my questions are always being deleted (wrong section).

Most non-christian/non-muslims ask questions hoping for thoughtful answers. Most Christians simply quote scripture or state one or two utterly unsubstatiated facts, and if pressed to provide sources, can't. Even most Muslims will at least provide some interpretation if they quote the Surra or Hadith, but too many christians post, "1 Cor 9:256" or "Somebook 1:1 -- And Jesus wept," without even bothering to THINK about what they're posting, they're just rehashing trained and memorized responses against specific ideas.
