I presume it's a .wmv? If so, you need to downlaod Windows Media Player. It's free - http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/default.mspx

Download VLC Player. It can play most of the video file formats.

well..you didn't stat what type of file it is..such as mp3,mp4,rmvb or so..but it's ok..you can try vlc media player..it plays most video files..here's the link www.videolan.org/vlc
