I am planning to go to JCPenney, they have a sale going on. I told my husband to set aside $100 and I would too, so that we can buy our two boys some clothes, he thinks it is too much money. My thinking is that this would cover them up for the next two months, including Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.

Well I would say that if you are only planning on the clothes to fit for 2 months, you shouldn't spend that much, unless of course you have the money to spend. Personally, I would wait til they are set in a size for a bit before spending that much on clothes. When that time comes, I would say that's not too much because when they grow out of one size and are set in another, they need new clothes, and 100$ for a new wardrobe for a child is a good amount. We all know clothes ain't cheap! LOL Also, if you are going to spend that much to take advantage of the sales, don't buy just one size, buy about two so that you will have some clothes for the next size they need. I snatched up a bunch of clothes from Kohl's Gold Star Clearance for my 2 little ones.

It depends on how much money you have. If you're rich and feel like it, sure go ahead. But I will say that's a lot more than I spend. I buy most stuff used and it's perfectly fine. I might spend $100 on my daughter in a whole year including winter coat, boots, shoes, socks, tights, underwear, shirts, dresses, pants, etc. You and your husband need to work out something that is comfortable for both of you. No matter what we say, you guys need to compromise. Try a few thrift stores for some used stuff, and then pick up whatever you can't find used at JC Penney.

You are shopping for two boys. Why would that be expensive? They are both at the age when they grow like fungi so 200 probably would be barely enough. Even if you were to go to walmart that would barely make it. But if you are feeling bad about the amount don't use all of the money on clothes!

I don't think it's too much. Even clothes for the little one can get pricey. I love JC Penny because they have very good deals like buy one get one for a dollar.

If you got things that mix and match well, the money would be well worth it, like some nice cargo pants that would look nice with a t-shirt or a sweater. If you did the cargo pants, a pair of jeans and a pair of slacks mixed with several shirts, they would be well set.

For more good deals, believe it or not, you can get two and three piece whole outfits at family dollar for $6.00 to $8.00. And they look good too! (the dressier stuff I would stick to Penny's)

I dont think so . If anything that is cheap compared to the price of them these days. I spent 100 on my 4 yr old and only got him 3 pants and 4 shirts at Target. The older they get the more money thier clothes are

I actual have 2 boys - it particularly is form of alot. For the vacations i might via them 2 great shirts(or sweaters) each and purely a million backside each. It relies upon who you're traveling and how many cases, and so on. i would not spend extra suitable than 15/20 on each for holdiay products. (you will locate great stuff at that fee- save on line! ) They improve so speedy. yet do think of approximately hand me downs -if so, purchase straightforward good qualtiy stuff for that - offering they're an identical shape! (My boys 18 months aside - are actually a husky and a slender - so hand me down pants do no longer paintings) returned, I do alot of on line procuring at old military and hollow - look into their clearance - exceptional deals and huge high quality. I consistent with threat spend 5 bucs on a shirt and 10 on denims. Get those pants w/ adjustable elastic waists and purchase a length extra suitable so it is going to final longer- in simple terms roll the hem line up or below. Its perplexing - i understand. ordinary - and that i will cope with to pay for it - I actual have by no ability long gone out and spent $two hundred for my boys and one time for outfits for a pair months (ok no longer counting wintry climate coats - and buys those extra suitable too!)

For just 'two' months that sounds like a lot of $$.

But when you think about it a pair of shoes at JCP might cost anywhere from $20-45 depending on the shoe. And then you still have clothing to purchase.

I hope you utilize the clothes for longer than two months - get your money's worth. I guess it's about average, it just depends on your taste and style.

Not at all. My daughter is 8 and we went to the Childrens place for school clothes and got 5 pairs of pants and 7 shirts and it came out to $125.00. Keep in mind that no item was over $15.00. I don't think kids need $50 outfits.

$200.00 is cheap. I think that you have a very good idea, especially after seeing the ad for friday and saturday. make sure you grab an ad and take advantage of the $20.00 off the total purchase of any sale over $100.00. actually grab two ads and have your husband go through the checkout himself. that will be $40.00 off your total purchases. then you'll have spent only $160.00. also, be sure to check out the clearance racks, as they are usually very good deals. Good Luck

For only two months, maybe. For yearly shopping, not even close.

I don't know why they would need $200 worth of clothes for two months... If they have grown out of their clothes and you are buying new ones that will hopefully last a while, then $200 isn't bad for winter clothes.
