It isn't illegal to date them, but in most states having sex with them is classified as "statatory rape". I'd make it a point to make a good impression on her parent(s) so that you have their "blessing" so to speak. It's complicated because while there is nothing morally wrong with it there are some legal complications. Good luck with that.

in our state an 18 yo cannot have sex with a 15 yo, but can have sex with a 16 yo. 19 can go as young as 17.

well jools you can date .. it is not wrong , but you cant have sexual intercourse or else it would be statutory rape even if the girl really wanted it ... it is better to wait until the girl turns 18 ..
