who says the Koran is factual,
also perhaps tolkien thought he could do a better job than the bible.

Tolkien was a devout Catholic and translated portions of the Jerusalem Bible. You should be more like the man whose books you admire.

The writer of Lord of the Rings was an educated Catholic who understood both the bible and the Koran.

Hm. nicely, i imagine you want to look at a compass. Mordor, (evil, Sauron) replaced into east...the route of the middle East. and nicely, u.s. is west. i'm not putting forward something adverse to the middle east. i'm purely putting forward you've gotten needed to placed a touch extra idea into this.

I relate to the bible more than anything else I've ever read. It's an account of humanity throughout the ages. Their struggles are the same things I deal with on a day to day basis.

LOTR was written by a Christian author as a direct response to the growing anti-religious literature that was being propagated in Europe.

Tolkein and C.S. Lewis were good friends and shared this common goal.
