As with any oddball medical symptom, the best thing to do is see your doctor. Don't let them dismiss it as nothing, make sure they take you seriously. Hopefully it's nothing, but without a doctor checking it out, you can't be sure!! It might even go away before you get your appointment, but if not, please follow through! Take care and feel better soon!!

I am not sure if I am understanding u right, do u mean ur throat feel like its sore or like its tightening up, when we cry its almost like it tightens up and cant swallow if that is it, I had the problem but there could be others, I am speaking of what I went thru, I went thru this and it was a symptom of severe stress, I had been thru a hard time w/the loss of my aunt w, breast cancer and developed this. If your throat is sore it could be a bad sore throat, do u have your tonsils if so they could be inflamed and infected, the worse sore throat of all is a strep throat, very bad, but really u should go to your doctor, or a ear, nose and throat specialist. If you have any of the above u need a doctor, u will need antibiotics to clear if it is infection from tonsilitus or strep, if there is no detected throat problem, or swollen gland, or lymp node problem, u may want to visit a dr. and discuss any stress u may be under, there is help for that as well. I hope I have been of help, please see a doctor, u did not say how long u had, but either way getting checked is the best thing to do.

I think that you should try having warm drinks all day. Aviod cold drinks as this would irritate your throat. You sound like your fluid levels are down. Failing which, gargle with hot salty water. Sea salt, not table salt and see if that makes a difference.

the clarification your "airhead" usual practitioner did no longer supply you antibiotics is they artwork on particular bacterial infections, no longer viruses. The flu is a deadly disease, so antibiotics have easily no consequence. additionally, good, in charge docs at the instant will oftentimes basically supply antibiotics while absoultely mandatory, as in an infection that your physique won't be able to combat off itself. that's to stay away from section outcomes and to stay away from coming up drug-resistant traces of micro organism. there are a number of varieties of flu- some impact the throat greater desirable than others. Wait 3-4 days and notice the kind you experience.

It could be strep throat. Had a bout of it after a stay in the hospital. It required antibiotics to clear up. Don't delay. It can spread to other systems of your body.

Best of luck.

Probably just a virus, don`t worry, go to your doc for anti biotics, just let the doc take care of it. Have you checked if your tonsils are swollen?

Look in your throat with a flash light and tell me if there is any redness, or white spots. If there is either, tell me where it is.

Are there any accessory symptoms?
