Is it possible for Fedor Emelianenko to ever fight Wanderlei Silva? I am not sure since Fedor is heavyweight and Silva is middle weight.

Thanks

There is a chance. If they meet in an open-weight grand prix. However, I don't think it will matter as much, because Mauricio Rua will have the light heavyweight title by then. Did you see the fightcard for Shockwave 2006!? It will be the best pay per view of the year!

Yes Wandy has fought many heavyweights Mirko "Cro Cop", Fujita, Hidehiko Yoshida, and Mark Hunt. With the wieght difference Wand would have the option of not allowing kicks and knees to head of a downed opponent but considering his brutal fighting style he would most likely allow them.

Note: During this years openweight GP Wand fought as a heavyweight at 225lbs

Yes, absolutely. It will likely happen during the Grand Prix next year. That is an open-weigh class tournament.

There is also the ability to add/drop weigh to a division

or of course, the mutual no-weigh clause. The title can not be on the line though.
