my girlfrien of 11 1/2 months moved from chicago to dubuque iowa. which is not that far. and she is hanging out with this 15 y/o ,and she is 18. but she just says she is just friends with him. but he is really the only friend that she has. he gives her rides home from school and he is over her house alot. she even tells me that he thinks its disrespectful for her to talk to me in his presence. so if i call and he's around she wont answer. or if i call her house and i ask if she's busy she will say yeah. and i would call her back and she will tell me that he was over. i always thought that if someone loved you, it wouldnt matter who is around when you say it. shouldn't my phone call matter more than what this little kid thinks, especially if they are just friends and have no relationship like me and her do ? just yesterday, i called her and she said she was gettting ready to leave and i said i love you like 4 times, and she wouldnt say it back. help!

I could say that love conquers all, etc etc but I'm going to be straight forward with you. I've been in a long distance relationship when I was high school. I moved away too. It's just not reasonable to think that could work. It sounds like she is giving you the run around...trying to figure out what she wants. She wants you because she loves you but you're not there. So she is turning to this younger guy for comfort and thats probably what she thinks she needs. Go visit her, see if there is still a connection. If not, you might just have to walk away. It is SO hard to do...it will hurt a lot but you will find someone some day that will be everything she was and more. Don't waste your high school experience being hung up on someone that sounds like is not being all that hung up on you! Good luck, hope I wasn't too harsh but it's better to be honest then sugar-coat it. I've been there.

She has something more with the 15yr old. What she would see I have no idea, what could she possibly have in common. But I agree with you in that it shouldn't matter if he is there or not to say I love you back to you. It would be rude to carry on a long conversation with you when she has someone over, but what would she be doing have another guy no matter the age in her home that she just met and acting in such a way to you. I would let her know that it is bothering you and if she can't stop it you may need to go your separate ways. She is not treating you fairly or properly and it seems to me that something more is going on than friendship. You don't want to be hurt in the long run when you find out the truth. Another thing you could do is to just show up at her house when he usually is over. See what you see.

I'm sorry, dude, but it's pretty obvious she's taking you for an idiot. You're right - if she can place another guy above you in the priority list and won't even TALK to you in his presence, she doesn't love you, or she's just having her cake and eating it too. If anything, it's disrespectful for her to put you off just because he's there. My bet is she's two-timing you, or she's considering her options. Either way she's bad news.
Time for her to decide which ONE guy she wants.

I REALLY BELIEVE THAT HER AND THE 15 Y/O ARE GETTING CLOSER THEN U THINK. I THINK SHE IS HIDING THEIR RELATIONSHIP FROM U BECAUSE SHE DOESN'T WANT TO HURT YOUR FEELINGS. I ADVISE YOU TO SERIOUSLY ASK HER IF HER AND THIS GUY ARE TOGETHER SECRETLY AND IF THEY ARE END IT NOW BEFORE SHE HURTS YOU AGAIN.
