Need to edit a quicktime video (and put it in power point presentation. Any other suggestions is also appreciated

try videohelp.com .. as far as i know u will need quicktime for starters so you have the proper decoder on ur machine .. then use somthing like winavi to convert it into mpeg1, 2, avi, or wm ...

I don't think you can convert qt file to another format. But I know that you can record the screen and the sound for saving it to avi mpg wmv... file
