Well, if it was really Jesus, you bet I would let him in and we would have a long talk about all these sanctimonious Christians that have so terribly abused his memory. If it was really Jesus, He could stay as long as He wanted to.

In reality, if someone I didn't know knocked on my door at 4 in the morning I would make a call to 911 and let the police do their job of protecting and serving.

Maybe he wants to go fishing. In my family that was a good time to go. If you don't get up you didn't get to go.
I heard he was trustworthy many people put their faith in that. Never heard anything bad he did.
He could stay as long as he wants. Hospitality is a virtue. As long as guests behave their welcomed.

Clearly you're not a woman.

Unless I recognize the voice when I asked, "Who is it?", he could wait out in the hall. I had a psychotic upstairs neighbor for nearly a year, and if anyone knocks on my door at 4 a.m., I be sure to grab the "whooping stick" (baseball bat) my brother gave me for protection last Xmas because he didn't want me unarmed if psycho-neighbor decided to kick the door in.

God entered my soul when I was eight in 1953 inside a coma lasting many months. I invited Jesus in at 13 and He's never left!

If you mean would we know Him again in human form if He knocked on our door... not if we don't emulate His life and teachings, no... but if we try to do this all our lives, even when we slip and fall and have to get up and start again, then yes, we will know him.

He already knows us all by name anyway.

"Many will come in come in my name, professing to be me."

We'll know only when we're tested... lets hope we pass... I have no idea if I even meet His expectations, despite my lifelong love for Him and faith in our creator, I just know I try to be the best I can be in everything I do... by never hating anyone, by forgiving everyone who hurts me in my heart, and by loving every living creature.

It's all we can do. We wont prove anything to anyone even when it happens, since each relationship with God (through Christ, or any other religion) is personal and private... like the one you have with your parents on this earth, and only they and you know what passes between you.

That's the way it should be... it would be too easy otherwise!

If any man on earth claims to be Jesus he is a false prophet. Jesus will return and we who are saved will meet Him in the sky. as It says in 1 Thessalonians.

If you are speaking about "Are you ready for Him" Yes I am! And Jesus does live in my home. He is always with me- and He never forsakes me. So therefore, He stays with me and family FOREVER. What a blessing and comfort to know that~

If he really is Jesus now i wouldn't have to get up and open the door right. He would come in on his own. I would open my eyes and see him. But he better be surrounded with white light and holding a bottle of Alize in one hand and a bottle of Blu Vodka in the other, other wise believe he better run for his life cause this time he will really die.

If I could be bothered to get out of bed and go to the door, I would quiz him at the door about what he wanted.

If he needed shelter for the night and a bit to eat then I might consider letting him in and have him sleep on the couch in the living room... though I'd lock the doors to stop him knicking anything.

If he wanted help with something else, then I'd hear him out as long as it remained sensible... and not against my nature.

If he just stood there looking dopey or talking in Hebrew, I'd give him a weird look and shut the door in his face.

If he tried to "save" me... I would shut the door in his face IF I was feeling merciful, and if I wasn't feeling merciful I'd smack him one with my umbrella (which I carry everywhere) and THEN slam the door in his face.

Of course all this is dependant on his looking reasonably dressed.... or at least not looking like some hairy tramp with skin diseases... and essentially applies to anyone else too.

Oh course.
That blasted cat is always out late.
I wish I'd thought of a more sensible name for him though - it's so embarrassing standing at the back door calling, "Jesus! Jesus!"

Why would he come to MY door, of all people, and why at four in the morning?

But yes, I would!
