Here is a link that contains many of our basic beliefs. It really helped me when I was first investigating the church. Of course www.mormon.com is also a great site.

Live as Christ-like as possible
Make and keep sacred covenants in the temple
Return to live with our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ and family in the Celestial Kingdom

They believe that every person that who isn't a mormon won't go to heaven, so when they die their souls are trapped somewhere. Their solution to this problem is to have lots of kids because those trapped souls can be reborn.
