It's human nature. People want to be in control of their lives. I dont know if you've ever read "Mere Christianity" by C.S. Lewis, but he quotes, "America would rather reign in hell than serve in heaven." (If you haven't read it, check it out sometime. It's a great book)

We don't. We fight religious fanatics who can't concieve the possibility that anyone other than themselves might be right. We fight extremists who are all too happy to blow themselves up to get their free ticket into heaven. We fight the ignorant who want to force religious dogma into science. We fight the obsessed who believe that anyone who isn't part of their church deserve to be fried in conola oil for eternity...and hence deserve little consideration in this world as well.

It is not humans fighting God.
It is pseudo Christians fighting to ram God down everyone elses throats.
But if your question is really meant does it not show that you believe that humans are winning - what a puny God then!!!!
Sadly it indicates you have a lack of faith or you would not be pushing this question.
