Personal choice, but chocolate has also been proven to release endorphins into the body, causing a rush of excitement.
It also depends on if you are blending flavors in recipes like adding vanilla to frosting for a cake or adding chocolate for a nice desert.

I think the fat in chocolate, enhanced with sugar and vanilla, from cacao and cream give a richness that is not present in vanilla. I expect the caffeine also adds a boost. Anyway, izzzz goooood!
