Actually what you are doing is nto helping you lose weight at all. The more you supress your body of foods, the more it will use your STORED FAT CELLS to break that down, so you could actually GAIN weight. I recommend eating 5-6 small meals a day, all healthy, all small portions. I am very strict with this from Mon-Fri and then I eating normally on the weekends. Skipping meals is NOT A GOOD THING. Do not do it.

You'll actually lose more weight if you eat about 6 small meals throughout the day. When you stop eating, your metabolism slows down. If you're constantly eating, every 3 or 4 hours, you're metabolism stays steady and you'll burn more calories. The trick is (obviously) to eat 6 healthy, small meals, and not candy bars or other empty calories. Keep up the water though - gotta get that in. Good luck!

it may help you lose weight now but you will gain it back and probably gain even more along with it. starving your body is NOT a good thing. When you do that it deprives you of nutrients you need to stay healthy. When you do eat your body will naturally store the fat as a defense mechanism against the starvation you are doing. I suggest eating something small, light and healthy instead of skipping meals. That along with exercise will help you successfully lose weight and keep it off. Good Luck!

Not eating will only slow your metabolisim. You need to eat six small meal a day. Try eating lots of fruit and vegatables and drink alot of water. Loosing wieght fast is not good for your body. You should only loose 1-2 pounds a week. If your in a hurray. There are some spa that do body wraps and things like that to help you loose those unwanted pouds. Good luck.

No, that will not help you lose weight. Your body will think you are starving (because that IS what you are doing to it) and eventually when you eat normal again, you'll gain everything back plus more. You should eat six times a day, and 300 calories for each meal, and exercise six times a week. And walking two flights of stairs does not count as exercise ok. You've got to really go at it.

Yeah, it sounds like be sure you lose some weight. For me, i do no longer subject approximately counting the energy and all that. I only consume what feels suitable, and a rather good variety of the time that's fruit (bananas, kiwi, strawberries, pineapple, apple, oranges) and vegetables (carrots, broccoli, celery, lettuce). additionally, there is this very healty organic and organic cereal-like stuff called Wheatabix that i'm obsessed on. in case you do no longer exercising, and you consume lots of candy, soda, chips, cookies etc, the load will benefit without delay. you will desire to pass and get outdoors, run early in the morning or after college, or only get accessible and play! pass shoot some hoops with a pal, play tag, soccer, or different. do only it. it relatively is going to pay off in the long-term.

Hi Kat!
The general rule is to eat 1500 calories per day, over five meals, and stay active. This is the formula for successful weight loss at about 2lbs/wk.
However, if your method works in staying at 1500 then keep it. You should not go over or under. If you go over, you negate the calorie deficit, which will prevent the weight loss, if you go under, you will lose weight initially but then get tired as your metabolism could slow in thinking that your body is starving. In dieting, 1500 calories is the sweet spot.
I believe this answers your question, but if not, you can shoot me an email at: gregg@leandownsite.com
Good luck on your diet and fitness goals!

No, skipping meals backfires on you when you diet. You end up eating more later on and it stresses your body. Its better, believe it or not, to eat MORE small meals a day when dieting. Keep up the water intake...that is good. Look for low calorie and low fat meals and combine those with some fruits and veges for snacks and do not forget to exercise!!

Skipping meals is just unhealthy. Portioning meals is smarter or avoiding excessive snacking. Eat normally, but make a rule not to eat after dinner or something like that. Works wonderfully.
