If it teaches love and peace
if it teaches hate and a "one way" only, then, no
love and peace ;-)

If one looks objectively at all the good and all the bad that has occurred as a direct or indirect result of religion, the positives far out weigh the negative.
Try looking back at history and remove all the ethical standards which had religious motivations behind them. Religion has been an inestimable stronghold for the seeds of social progress.

It's not a matter of better or not. You either believe or you don't. A thought process based on the better/worse dualism is extremely simplistic and inaccurate for the religious feelings of people. Nonetheless, if you still need to talk using the better/worse dicotomy, I'll have to add that it depends on the religion or set of religious believes in question.

Religion can be a very harmful thing, but it can also be of great benefit, so it's hard to say. A glass of wine at dinner is great, but bottle after bottle followed by a drive around town can be disastrous--same with religion.

Not necessarily religion--but a good relationship with God and a clean conscience according to his word. These things are priceless and eternal. The world is passing away and so is its desire.

Religion's intent is to create a kind of utopia where everyone is welcome and everyone gets along. Unfortunately, given that every variation of monotheism believes that their path and god is the best, it is one of the greatest sources of discord, war, death and destruction, both historically and currently. Consequently, in theory, it is better than anything in the world but practically, it is the diametric opposite.

The true one, yes. At John 17:3, Jesus said that if we take in knowledge of him and his Father, Jehovah, and apply what we learn, it will mean everlasting life for us.

'Anything' is not defined by Asker. The followers of Religion insist that religious guidance is the most superior guidance.

Nope.
There is nothing in the world that religion is better than. It is the worst thing in the world. ^_^
.... Well... at least until something worse comes along.
