I'd thoroughly recommend Newcastle. Lots to do (beach by metro, museums, live music, Tyne to promenade along, lots of places to go out - for a club night I'd say you could do worse than World Headquarters). Also, easy to get to cheaply by train and plane if you book far enough in advance. If you have enough time and energy, there are also some kick *** castles up the coast and Northumbria is the most tranquil county in the country (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/6075774.stm).

Cheap flights to Dublin and then get a bus from the airport to the city and another straight to Glendalough Hostel (Pronounced Glendalock) it is very cheap and every room is ensuite clean and modern but they're only bunk beds nice ones but oooh that may kill the romance but other than that it's the most romantic location I know beautiful scenery and a fab pub/resturant next door to the hostel & the most beautiful mountain range in the area.

Sometimes, letting go seems like the easiest thing to do. But think about this: you've invested so much of your time and energy into another person; you've made a solemn promise; and you still know there's love, even if it's hiding underneath the surface. This website will show you how to save a marriage and avoid divorce, even if you're the only one trying https://tr.im/g54vh

in my opinion i prefer the peak District; the panorama is extremely dissimilar - green and pastoral in the south - wild and rocky in the north; public transport is marvelous and as nicely hiking and admiring the panorama there are issues to do whilst the climate isn't so good like visting the Crich Tramway Museum, the steam railway at Matlock and the stately homestead Chatsworth.

Don't know if you have a car and can drive somewhere or you need to go by train? How about a romantic city break? You could try www.lastminute.com to see if they have any good deals. Good luck. Otherwise how about just booking a lovely meal out and the theatre - still romantic...

It depends on where you live - but I'd suggest a costal resort, or if local to you The cotswolds. Both can be romantic in their own way.
