I have been in pain for over a year. I have seen 6 Doctors. I have also been in PT for about 8 months. Most of my doctors have given up on me. I have been on many painkillers with little or no effect. Everything besides laying down hurts. The pain extends from the bottom of my rib cage to my shoulder blades. I have started going to a chiropractor, but it is only reducing a small amount of pain. I'm stuck in a state of extreme inactivity and depression. I have also cleaned out my bank account trying to fix my kidney. Being in pain most of the time is really tough too deal with and i don't know what too do.

How long have you been in this condition?

I suggest continuing with the chiropractic care - people respond differently to the treatment so you need to give it at least 3 months... think about how long you've been in this state, it's hardly fair to expect an instant recovery.

I have seen a lot of skeptical people in your condition and worse and with persisting care from their chiropractor have made excellent recoveries, so just keep going =)

I am sorry to hear of your misery. You say this is soft tissue pain, and yet 6 doctors, PT, and your bank account has not given you relief. Soft tissue injuries are very easy to treat, so I must wonder if there is not more to this. 'Painkillers' have little to no role in anything other than acute pain due to an obvious cause. If you have been on a non steroidal anti inflammatory pain medication and a muscle relaxant without significant relief the diagnosis may be other than soft tissue.

I hear you I am in the same boat. Did you ever fall hard on your butt(tailbone)? Look at this site it might help www.coccyx.org
I have had doctors give up on me. They think it's phantom pain but it's real. Have you ever had an x-ray of your scrum/coccyx area?
