Meniere's disease is a disorder that affects the inner ear. A build up of pressure by fliud in the labyrynth can cause vertigo (a type of dizziness), nausea, and vomiting. It may also cause pain and a ringing in the ear. It is thought to be controlled by a low-sodium diet (which then, in turn, regulates fluid in the inner ear).
