just wet a sponge and wipe the puppies face.... but it really doesnt matter cause when they go swimming they get water in there ears... they will just shake it out... but its nicer for them just to have there face washed with a sponge...

WE HAVE A GOLDEN PUPPY I ONLY GIVE HERA BATH ONCE A MONTH UNLESS SHE GETS INTO SOMETHING LOL
I USE A WASH CLOTH AND JUST WIPE HER FACE OFF I DON'T USE SHAMPOO ON HER HEAD AT ALL. TRY TO KEEP YOUR DOGS EARS DRY. AFTER THE BATH USE A COTTON BALL OR Q-TIP VERY GENTLY AND CLEAN OUT EARS. I MAKE SURE I BRUSH HER EVERY OTHER DAY AND HER HEAD AND EARS STAY PRETTY CLEAN SHE LOVES THE WATER I'M SURE YOUR CUTE LITTLE BLACK LAB WILL TOO!!

when our black lab gets a bath in the bath tub, to wash his face, we use a wash cloth to clean his entire head.

It's important not to get too much water in those ears!!! It will cause infections, trust me I know lol Good luck with keeping black labs away from water! :)

Even though it doesn't matter AT ALL if a dog gets water in its ears, I suggest spot-cleaning your dog's face. Take a washcloth or some sort of (small) towel, dampen it with cool water (although the temperature really doesn't matter), and glide it over your dog's face and ears all you like; this will prevent excessive amounts of water from entering your dog's ears (if you're still worried about it; but remember, you don't need to be). Hope my info helped! Good luck!!!

just a wash cloth. if you do get water in her ears she will shake it out. after you a finished with the bath and you are still nervous about water in the ears use a large cotton ball and get the excess water out.

You should never get water in a dogs ears, you can put some baby shampoo on a cloth and wash then rinse well. I don't agree with putting cotton balls in dogs ears, acts like and wick and draws in water.

Our vet suggested putting cotton balls just inside the ear. Not too deep mind you, but just enuf to hold them in place. This will prevent the water from going into the ears.

Put a few cottonballs in her ears to keep water out, but use just a damp cloth on her face.

Use a soft washcloth and if shes small enough, put her in the sink.
If not, the tub, but only a little but of water!!

DONT USE COTTON BALLS THEY ABSORB WATER AND CAN BREAK UP INTO SMALL PIECES AND STAY IN THE PUPPY'S EARS
