If we have faith we don't consider evidence important for belief in something but if we have evidence for something we don't require faith at all to believe in it, evidence is the best tool we have to investigate what is real from what is make-believe.
God may exist, so may the Celestial Teapot and the Invisible Pink Unicorn but we have no evidence to suggest that any of these is any more likely than each of the others.

Faith does not require fact.
I think you just figured it out ....Fiath is.....
KNOWING with out SEEING......
Believing without tangible evidence......
Choose what you believe.

Those Christians who require evidence of Jesus resurrection want to believe in Him by Fact....not Faith.

How many through history have believed in Jesus without Scripture or evidence or having seen it....only through personal testimony.....only Faith.

I'm guessing that your underlying question really has nothing to do with pink unicorns, right? Are you asking how does a Christian believe in God when there is no evidence? Simple, we have evidence. The evidence is all around us. It is in the smile on a child's face, the dew on a rose, the colors of a sunset.

Ah, but you say, that can all be explained away by science.

I believe in love - it is not measurable - it is not quantitative - you can not touch it or hold it in the palm of your hand. But it is there. It is real. I believe in thought and reasoning.

The evidence I have for the existence of God is innumerable. I have been in His presence. I have felt His love. My life has changed - I am a different person after I accepted the free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ.

Just because you have not had my experiences, or have seen what I have seen does not make what I have experienced invalid. The physical proof of God appeared on this Earth 2000 years ago - people still did not believe - even when face to face with Him.

I can argue my point - you can argue yours. But until you actually experience God for yourself, you cannot understand mine.

Faith can and is reasonalbe. Reason requires faith. Evidence is limited by ability to measure and subjectivitity of intrepretation. Hence, evidence is always biased and not "true" in the Sophists sense of the word.

The veil of perception, and the inability to measure (heisenburg) accuratly, means all "evidence" is truly subjective within accepted concepts of "objectivity".

"evidence" once told us the atom was the smallest particle, and nothing could possibly be smaller. "evidence" says the speed of light is constant, but recent experiments show the inconsistancy of that principle. "evidence" is always open to re0investigation and interpretation. Hell, we still do not understand all the nuances of gravity.

Anything can be beleived, true. But for that belief to be reasonable it must be founded on ideas that have a basis in convention. People of faith consider evidence, but they consider evidence in ways different from others. Some would see the changing of the seasons and say it is because the spirit of spring goes to the underworld, and life ceases until she returns. Others say it is because of our revolution around Sol.

Both are valid in the sense that they seek to explain natural phenomonen to a given collection of people for the purpose of cultural understanding. You can reasonably argue that it is the revolution around Sol that sends the spirit of spring packing, rather than her eating six seeds. Faith, knowledge, and reason are intertwined. That is the mystery of our existence.

The Bible teaches that faith is the evidence. Hebrews 11:1 "Now faith is...the evidence of things not seen." If you have faith to believe in God then God has given it to you and it is the evidence to you that God exists. If God does not give that faith then those without it can't believe.

Paul said it best, "Rom 11:6 And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work". Faith isnt knowing, its believing or trusting without evidence from a reliable source. The only way we can know for sure of somthing is proof then its no more faith. Im not having faith to know im saved but i am having faith that Christ is going to rapture me up one day. I didnt see God create everything but i have faith that the bible is true and that He wrote it.

Faith without evidence is defined by believing God's promise when we ask. It is used in regards to our prayers.

To believe in God requires something to move us from atheism to believer. To move from a to b is the evidence of God's existence. This is evidence that can only be understood and explain to those who have experienced it.

Don't ever doubt it. Faith is the crux of Christianity. "Without faith it is impossible to please God..."(Hebrews 11:6).

You too have faith. Everyone does in something or in someone. Atheists have faith in their doctrine of nothingness, which by the way, leaves you empty, alone, and void. You have no purpose, ultimately. Survival is meaningless as well...if you are an atheist. The saddest sight in the world is an atheist who endeavors to validate his/her existence. They cannot, but go to great extremes to do so. You are an accident. You are a boat without a rudder...a wandering star is the blackness of nothingness. You have my pity.

Faith transcends the purposelessness of atheism. Faith gives hope and direction. It gives us the ability to enjoy life without a guilty conscience and without an empty void that cannot be filled.

Faith, in God, through Jesus Christ the Lord, gives both purpose and validity to one's existence. We learn that we are here for a purpose. We have hope, peace and love. We come from all walks of life. We are scientists, teachers, truck drivers, doctors, nurses, secretaries, students, factory workers, writers, etc., etc., etc.

We invite you to join us. But, you must come by faith!

I'm so tickled by everyone that says that there's no God, etc. Please just look for him. When something good happens to you, that's God. When you get something that you don't deserve, that's God.

As far as factual evidence, there is evidence to prove the Bible was real. The Pilate Stone, te Ciaphas box, The stone of David, and the Dead Sea Scrolls. They all point to the authenticity of the Bible.

The Bible is in agreement with the POV you express.
"Faith follows the thing heard" says Roman 10:17.
Before believing anything, it must be investigated and proven believable ......then accepted.

Jesus, The Bible, and The Holy Spirit give evidence that God does exist. What evidence do you have that says He doesn't?

Yes yes yes.
But do you know that half the people who run around talking about they believe in God and they have faith God use the bible as there proof. What kind of faith is that. If you have faith then there is not need for the bible right.
