I didn't attend a bible study last night, because I feel the season is over there, and God is moving me to greener pastures. 3 people called me to ask if I was going, and I stood my ground. I was obedient to God's voice inside, and today I have alot of peace. Socially it seems stand offish, but with God it feels correct.....?

If the Bible study you have been attending is not helping you to grow spiritually and helping you to get closer to God, it is good for you to find another. Fear of displeasing men is not nearly as important than fear of displeasing God. Really search for the truth of God's word and you may be able to help lead your friends to life everlasting. That would be so much better than just pleasing them socially now.

Not necessarily. If you have to question true peace then that leaves room for doubt. The New Testament will give you specific instructions for making "the correct decision." And it is simple. God told us this book (Bible) provides instruction for everything we need to know. In it you will find God-approved examples of what He requires of us. For example, in Acts 2:14-47, Peter and the rest of the Apostles were preaching to the Israelites. After the Israelites heard and understood that Jesus Christ was indeed the Messiah they had been waiting for and they had just crucified Him, v. 37, they were pierced to the heart and asked Peter and the apostles what they needed to do to be saved. Peter responded in v. 38, "Repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for forgiveness of your sins-----." When you read God's word, believe it and follow His instructions (be baptized for remission of (all) your sins) your slate is clean and keep it that way, then you will have true peace. Keep studying and PRAYING that God will help you find that true peace and your prayers WILL be answered. Boy you may be giving up something really great if 3 people called you. I have gone to some churches with 100's of people in them for years and left and not one person even called. You miss one night and three people care enough to check it out. They may be friends worth keeping.
How do you know it was God's voice?
