first time i saw carl sagan and his "cosmos " was during the 80's. i was interested in astronomy much before. whether one likes it or not, it opened or paved the way to a curious guy like me to have inquire more about the space and its relationship with mankind.

Cosmos was much better than any religious sermons. when you think cosmic who needs those small time preachers.

Love, no. Enjoy, yes. Also worth watching or reading are James Burke's original "Connections" series as well as "The Day The Universe Changed".

I notice that one coward opened his filthy mouth and said "Sagan and Gould are creationists now". That individual - I wouldn't say person - would never have had the sack to say that to them in person when they were alive and lacks to decency to keep his mouth shut now that they're dead.

I love how he borrowed the Christian notion of Cosmos, the orderly creation... as opposed to the naturalistic random chance Chaos term

sadly in the pale blue dot book he sounded rather depressed...like if anyone is out there they probably wont every know we;re here

one thing for sure, Carl Sagan and Steve Gould are now creationist having gone to meet God...it's too late though

I used to love watching that show! The only thing that bugged me was that he sounded like a mixture of Kermit the frog and Fozzie Bear. Everything was millions and billions and trillions. A bit like Gordon Brown's budget speech!
