It depends upon what you consider to be important in your relationship.

What SotiCoto said is disgusting. If you truly loved someone, you would want them to follow their hearts and be true to themselves. You wouldn't "take pleasure in stripping them of their connection to whatever higher something they believe in". What a sicko.

Well that depends. Do you want to be happy or miserable? Because you're far more likely to find happiness with someone who you're compatible with but who shares a different faith than someone who shares your faith but you're incompatible with.

My husband and I are of different faiths. We have a good marriage. I have to admit that it would be much easier if we were of the same faith, but we work hard to make things work. My advice would be to try to find someone of the same faith but you have to be compatible for it to work. I hope you find what you are looking for.

God bless,
Stanbo

How would you be compatible if you couldn't agree on your faith. To a christian that is the most important section of life... Jim

hi!dear.it depends..for example according to Islam rules,a Muslim girl can't marry a boy of another faith(like Christian or Jewish),they should be both Muslim(that's because there are some basic differences between Islam&other religions),but i don't think there are any laws in other religions to marry the same faith,,,it depends on the person

The Bible says to "marry only in the Lord" so that would indicate to marry only someone who has dedicated themself to doing God's will instead of their own. Since there are many of us, that means you could find someone capable who is also in the faith--Don't really understand why you don't think so.

love is way more important than religion... so it`s better to marry a compatible person no matter what faith that person is.

Wouldn't you be more compatible with someone of your own faith? That way you can share your faith and spirituality with them.

You can marry whomever you want, but if you are a true Christian you are told by the one whom you have claimed as your Lord to marry a true Christian.
