as regards the ingredients i would agree to all of the above.
if you are diet conscious cut down on the ghee and sugar.
first fry some mustard seeds with chopped onions until they are brown.next add enough water and let it come to a rolling boil.now add the sooji or rava so much that it is just a wee bit more than the water.here the trick is to get it not gooey-gooey but in a more powdery form.this is how it is made in southern india esp in kerala.it goes best with plantains

This is my mom-in-law's receipe n it's really tasty.......
Roast 1katori rawa in 2tbsps ghee until it turns light brown n then remove.
Again add about 3tbsp ghee. When it turns hot,put 1tsp mustard seeds,5-6 curry leaves, 3 green chillies, 2 dry red chillies n add d above rawa & stir well. Now add salt to taste n 1tsp sugar. Now add some soaked cashew nuts n chopped tomatoes (optional) n put about 2 cups of boiling water.Put a lid on it.After a few mins when d water is soaked (not dry),it's done......

well....if ur indian...i guess u'll understand what i mean....actaully ive never made...ive seen my mom making it....so here goes...
-take powdered wheat(not flour...the coarse stuff...i think u call it soogi or rava)
-vegetables(anything will do)
-oil or ghee
-salt
-sugar
-onions
-peanuts
-cilantro
-water
then u take the rava, fry it for a while in the ghee, add the veggies and the other stuff, more salt than the sugar, finally add the water..lots of it....then u let the stuff boil till it becomes like a solid-y form of pudding. garnish with the cilantro! finito!
