anyone else believes it aswell?
or do you think jesus was the son of god, and divine, and didnt have a relationship?

im just interested in other people's thoughts on it.

Hon, please, for the love of God, tell me you didn't get this crap from the De Vinci Code. It's all junk! Seriously, had Jesus married, it would have been in the bible. His apostles would have spent a whole week or so partying, pleased that their Lord picked a wife. Read the bible to find out the truth about Jesus, not a poorly written fiction novel!

Let's answer this by multiple choice. If you were to decide whether to believe or disbelieve the story of Jesus Christ, would you choose:

A. A painting by some artist who lived centuries after Christ, never knew him or what he looked like, and painted a picture of Christ based on imagination, which picture was then "interpreted" by the imagination of others who think it means various thing; or

B. A written account of the life of Christ by people who actually lived and traveled with him, combined with the testimonies of prophets from centuries before whose prophesies about Christ came true?

I think you are being pretty gullible if you choose the painting and the Da Vinci Code hype and theory.

As for Christ having a relationship, I do believe He was probably married. For one thing, they called him Rabbi, and Rabbis are married. For another, Jesus' mother told him at a wedding that they were running out of wine. The groom was in charge of wine, so Jesus could have been the groom at that wedding. There are other hints, but that's enough for the time being.

Christ also proved that he was the Son of God - he was able to heal others, to raise the dead, to outwit the wisest of men with a few simple words, to read people's thoughts, and when he gave up his own life, he was able to take up his body again three days later. Many testified of him and his influence is greatly felt throughout the world today.

But you go ahead and keep believing in that painting...

1.) The DaVinci Code is FICTION. NOT FACT. The Bible is fact, there's archaeology to prove it. Brown has not done his homework. He made a lot of it up.
2.) The Bible says nothing about Jesus being married or not. So it's not debatable, or an issue.
3.) Even if Jesus was married, and it was to Mary Magdelene, it doesn't matter. It's okay to lust after your own wife. So if Jesus did have sex with Mary Magdelene after they were married, it's OKAY. If they had kids though, their kids would not have the divine nature that Jesus had because they would be fully human
4.) It doesn't change the fact that Jesus was the Son of God and that he alone had the power to die for the sins of the world. Noone else could do that.

Please see the below source, please don't put your faith in a work of fiction.

Hi, there is actually a good reason why this heretical theory about Jesus and Mary Magdalene came about,I will start you of with the basics but you can reference this info for yourself on the web.
this lie was first used by the Talmudic(Hasidic) Jewish Rabbi`s to discredit Christianity which is their greatest enemy because it is the only faith that brings to light the Jews act of (deicide) the murder of their Messiah.
it really finds it`s place in Jewish freemasonry and especially in English freemasonry, were all the symbolism is a mixture of Jewish and Egyptian mysticism.
the false story that has fed into the mainstream of modern though and also colours Dan Browns fictious novel originates with Jewish freemasonry, which supposes that the lost tribes of Israel are still alive in European royalty and especially the British crown.
the ridiculous theory is that these royals are the descendants of a group called the Merovingian dynasty who themselves are the descendants of Jesus and Mary Magdalene.
to the non-Christian this would not seem to hard to accept that is untill you do a little research and then the whole huse of cards comes falling down, but this is not aimed at the non-Christian but to the Christian believer to confuse and weaken their faith, exactly as the Jews and freemasonry want it to do.
firstly you can download and read for free the book`The Jewish Relgion` it`s influence today, by Elizabeth Dilling, it is in PDF format and free for download.
also read the articles written by Henry Makow,ph.d on the website, www.savethemales.ca and last but not least you should do a search on secret societies and the illuminati.
you see the whole devilish plan is to make Jesus appear to be a false Messiah and so if He married and therefore did not resurrect and ascend to the Father then they will they believe destroy Christianity, which even now they have failed to do, but have dealt it a cruel blow, Dan Browns novel is in reality quite uninteresting and bland without the writers `hook` which in this case is the marriage theory which he used as the selling point, and was quite clever of him I suppose, but still dishonest and underhanded.

i was going to emai you privately but you don't allow that so....

ms.xxx, you really need to actually read and learn for yourself.

dan brown - the author who wrote the FICTIONAL davinci code stated clear - it's fiction.
how old was leonardo davinci??? was he alive at the last supper? does that mean that it's more of a photograph then a painting? the people in the poctire he painted were representative of the people of his time. Jesus would not have been that "white looking" in reality - nor the other apostles.

i won't go on anymore, hopefully next time you want to say soemthing as controversal as the above, you will do a little mroe research then just a fictional novel.

God bless in your quest for knowledge!

No.
Jesus could only have bore the sins of all time had he been pure at heart, without sin.
Jesus didn't need a sexual relationship on earth. He had know absolute bliss for his entire existence. He also knew that he would only be here a short time before he went home again. Knowing the cruelty of this life, would only stand to make the beauty of the one in Heaven that much more.
He is also a part of God. He has absolute control over himself and everyone and everything around him. How many times did he have the opportunity to change things when he was here. He choose to make certain changes and he choose not to make certain changes. It was all in the plan that would deliver us all.
I'm terribly sorry for you if you truly don't believe that Jesus was as God intended him to be.
Whether or not you believe in Him, he believes in you. I pray that your eyes will be opened and your heart will be filled. Only then will you know the joy of salvation and the life that awaits you in Heaven.

Dan Brown is no historian, nor a theologian. He made it up. There is no evidence to support any of his assertions. Jesus was not married. There is no indication for the Scriptures, from reputable extra-Biblical writings at the time nor from the writings of the apostles or church fathers that give any indication that He was married.
Mary Magdalene was single or a widow. Her name denotes this. In ancient Jewish times, a woman would either be known by her husband, such as Mary, wife of Joseph, or the town in which she came from, hence Mary of Magdela. She was mostly likely an older woman since she financially support His ministry. It would be extremely rare for a young, single woman to have the financial means to give money away.
Jesus was divine. He claimed it, accepted worship as such and was put to death for the crime of blasphemy, claiming to be God. He did many miracles which were witnessed by the apostles as well as others and He rose from the dead.

Hello xxx.. :)

The book is fiction, not fact..even the History Channel (non-religious) proved that there are NO..lineages aligning Mary Magdalene to anyone through a DNA test of a Queen who was supposed to according to Dan Browns book been a direct decedent..the Queen had no DNA to match that of Hebrew decent..

I am orginally from Exeter, New Hampshire, where Dan Brown lives..and there was an uproar there, because of his book not being factual.. :(

I do believe that Jesus was the divine Son of the Most High God..He had No children, nor was He ever married..Amen!!

And thanks to the History Channel, it proves it.. :)

The Magdelena story, as portrayed in your question, is pure fiction.

I believe in the deity and divinity of Jesus Christ. The biblical record is sufficient for me and possesses all the credentials of credibility and trustworthiness needed. Jesus did not marry Mary Magdalena.

I also believe that in the miracle and mystery of the incarnation, that God, the Word, became flesh and dwelt among us, lived sinlessly, died vicariously on the cross, was buried, was raised from the dead victoriously, ascended back to the Father and now reigns eternally as King of kings and Lord of lords. In God's own time, Jesus will return to consummate all of history and judge all of mankind in righteousness.

John 3:16-21
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."

Complete and utter nonsense. Made up out of whole cloth. Not even that....that would at least make it interesting....but ol' Dan Brown stole the idea from a failed (history does not prove any of it) theory put forth in the book: "Holy Blood, Holy Grail"...I read it in college and is was complete nonsense even then....

Fun reading, unless you have even a shred of knowledge about history and archeology.

File all of it under: "B" for "Balderdash"
