My dog has never done that.
They sell these tablets you can give your dog, that will make their poo taste very nasty (as if it didn't already lol) and will make your dog stop eating it. Try petsmart.com or any other dog site.

Oh yes, it is totally normal! It is always done by mother dogs to keep the nest clean; and dogs learn it from one another. There are products available auch as Forbid or Deter, but I have not had any luck with them. What I had to do is pick up their poop and discard it the moment they drop it. That means I run after them with a slotted (kitchen) spoon and a grain scoop. It not only keeps them from snacking, it also keeps me from steeping on land mines. Good luck. Dogs are wonderful and they ask so little of us.

yes, my own 10 week old doberman pup is doing the same.
I'm helping her break the habit by picking it up as soon as she does it (accept in the back yard because the scent of it being there helps her toilet training)
i also say a loud ah! ah! or no! when she goes to eat it and pull her away while i get it cleaned up.
she's not doing it half as much as she used to, and I've only had her for 2 weeks.
hope this helps.
xx

Yes it is normal but not very nice,My mum,s dog also used to do this she took him to the vet and was told that the only way to discourage the dog from doing this was to make the poo ta st nasty so we tried all sorts, the things that worked was to put mustard and hot chilly on the poo when the dog went to eat it he got the shock of it,s life (i know that it sounds disgusting but it worked)after about a week the dog stopped,

yes that is normal for your puppy to eat its own poo ,our puppy used to do it they reckon its because they are lacking in something.we stopped our pup from doing by putting crushed pineapple in to its food, just mix alittle in.when the dog goes to eat the poo it stops cause pineapple puts them off when it has come out the other end.

I'd question your managerial skills if your staff are eating their own poo.

a dogs digestive tract is a lot shorter and more simple than ours, only needs to digest protein in the wild. dont give them any titbits. the best way to discourage this behaviour is have a water sprayer or a bag of pebbles to throw neer him.

When a dog starts eating its own faeces it is generally a question of diet. make sure the dog is getting the correct food for its age. if it continues to do this then seek advice from your vet.
good luck
