Marcel's are a VERY difficult thing to master. Get a piece of tissue and as you heat it up to what you think put it to the tissue (curl tissue like hair, and at your speed)and if it burns the tissue it more than likely will burn your hair! Please be careful always have a towel you can set it to cool for about 10 or more secs before you actually put it on your hair. ALOT of burns happen this way ...be safe! Good luck!
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH one more thing to remeber on the reg. stove not a marcel stove it will heat the inside last! Do it on not high red hot coils!

It depends on the hair that your getting redy to curl, if its a weave then dont let it get too hot. I had a bad experience one time, the curler was too hot and melted my weave even though was human hair.
