Blue sapphire is gem ruled by Saturn. Saturn indicates the areas of obstructions and delays in life. wearing a blue sapphire will clear those obstructions. It has to be worn in silver in the 2nd finger of right hand on a Saturday with in an hour after sunrise.

According to astrology, Indian literature it is suppose to appease Saturn or Sani (shiva).

It is worn with pure Diamond, and preferably with Jade(lilum).

By the way, Coloured stone are getting more expensive now a days.more
