I have down loaded the IE7 but is not accessing other sites like windowsupdate

You may want to reset the security settings. That could do it. If that doesn't work, use system restore to go back. You can reinstall again after restoring, and see if that makes a difference. Just make sure you have a couple of good clean boots in between.
I have had no problem with IE7, unlike the other answerers.

It works for me may be you have to upgrade to internet explorer 8

i don't know why it would do that try to download it and reinstall it again. i also hate IE7.that is why i use Firefox.
