CLASSIFICATION OF PROTEIN ON THE BASIS OF SOLUBILITY- Proteins may be classified as SIMPLE PROTEIN and CONJUGATED PROTEINS.
SIMPLE PROTEIN consist of only amino acid or their derivities. Under simple protein includes-ALBUMINS,GLOBULINS,GLUTELNS,PROLAMINES,ALBUMINOIDS,HISTONES,PROTAMINES.
CONJUGATED PROTEINS consist of simple proteins in combination with some non-proteinic components.These include- NUCLEOPROTEIN,GLYCOPROTEIN,PHOSPHOPROTEIN,CHROMOPROTEIN,LIPOPROTEIN,METTALOPROTEIN.

Plasma proteins are albumin , globulin and fibrinogen. Albumin is the stabilizing protein and globulin is the precipitating protein. Albumin is the heaviest and the fastest in electrophoresis. Albumin is water soluble.
